Our adventure at the crafts and embroidery fair
Today, November 7th, we snuck away to the Creativa Barcelona crafts and handmade fair… and boy, was it worth it. As soon as we entered, the air already smelled of thread, wood, and a desire to create. It was one of those places where you want to touch everything, ask a thousand questions, and take half a stand home "just in case."
A stroll among colors, textures, and clever people
The aisles were full of exhibitors showcasing all kinds of techniques: traditional embroidery, punch needle, decorative painting, amigurumi, textile printing, and many more. Each table was a small creative universe.
Moreover, the best part of the fair wasn't just the products, but the people. Creators who live handicrafts as if it were breathing, and visitors with eyes shining just like ours. That mix means you leave not only loaded with materials, but with ideas.
Workshops that leave a mark (and calluses on your fingers)
Unfortunately, we couldn't sign up for the workshops due to lack of time, but they were a real hit. Amidst needles and laughter, we could see new techniques and small handmade pieces.
The workshops were a great way to teach and remember why we like these things so much: they disconnect, relax, and, in the end, leave you with the feeling of having created something uniquely yours. They had all kinds, even for the little ones.
What caught our attention the most
The level of detail in some of the embroidered works—authentic miniature masterpieces.
The quantity of new materials coming out: threads with very unusual textures, eco-friendly bases, super complete kits for beginners. The competition is very high.
A closure full of ideas
We left the fair with bags, brochures, new projects in mind, and the feeling of having spent a day that recharges your creativity. If you like crafts or simply enjoy watching people make beautiful things with their hands, it's a must-visit.
We hope to return for its next edition next year and, if we're lucky, even be one of the exhibitors with our brand Amaranta Line.
